Hierba Luisa (Lemongrass)

About the plant

Hierba luisa usually refers to lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus), a grass in the Poaceae family with a characteristic lemon scent. Widely cultivated in tropics and subtropics; used in cooking, teas, and traditional medicine.

Properties and use

In Shipibo cleansing protocols hierba luisa is a support plant: stomach, spasms, general tone, gentle balancing of condition during restrictions. It helps the body endure the cleansing process and maintain clarity. It is not a master plant in the sense of a visionary dieta; rather an ally in the cleansing line.

Use in dietas

Hierba luisa may be included in dieta as a supporting element — to stabilize digestion and condition during purgatives or other strict dietas. A separate 'dieta of strength' with it is not described; its role is accompaniment and support.

Precautions

Lemongrass at usual doses (tea, seasoning) is safe. When included in a dieta protocol, dosing is determined by the maestro.
